Friendly Fire Competition

The Friendly Fire Esports Competition is a major part of the GamePad Online experience and is open for teams of any gaming experience to get involved. A Friendlier Place To Play!

At GamePad we highlight the fun, team-based spectacle of esports. It’s not about destroying the competition or being the absolute best at any game. This is the game show for players and makers alike, so bring your team and a positive attitude to make it a great experience for all!

The spring Friendly Fire competition will take place at GamePad Online on Saturday 9th April 2022. The three games are as follows:

Round 1: Brawlhalla
Round 2: Rocket League
Round 3: Knockout City

Teams will compete on a 2 v 2 best out of 3 in each round. If you would like to submit a team (minimum of 2, maximum of 4 players) to be considered for the event, please take some time to read through the competition guidelines and register your interest today.

Please note: Submitting a team does not guarantee entry but allows us to review your application before confirming you for the next event. We will then make the final selection and we reserve the right to deny entry to any teams at our discretion. If you have any question, suggestions or concerns, please get in touch with us ASAP, we’re here to help!

COMPETITION GUIDELINES

Win Fantastic Prizes

Prizes are on offer for all teams, you just have to play for them! For starters, we will provide teams with copies of the games that aren’t already free to play. This will let you take part in the competition and enjoy some new games after the event is done.

For each match you win against another team, you will get to choose a gift card prize. That means a choice of Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo gift cards.

An example: If you win one match in Rocket League and one in Brawlhalla, you will still get TWO gift card picks even if you don’t have the most wins overall.

The team with the most wins after all games have been played will be crowned Friendly Fire Champions! In addition to your gift card prizes, each member of your team will be sent a winners medal and a copy of the latest mayamada manga.

Keep an eye on event announcements for news on more prizes from Gamepad Online supporters and sponsors.

WHAT DO YOU GET?

If your team is selected for the Friendly Fire competition, you will receive two copies of Swimsanity. Brawlhalla and Rocket League are both free to play games and all Friendly Fire competition games are cross-platform.

You can find out more about the game you’ll be playing at the upcoming GamePad Online event below.

Brawlhalla

Working as a team you must prepare a variety of dishes to earn points. Each order has a time limit, so the quicker you make the dishes the more points you will get. The competition game mode is the standard 2 v 2 Team Deathmatch.

Rocket League

free-to-play 2D platformer fighting game in the mould of Super Smash Bros. History’s greatest warriors brawl to prove who’s the best in an epic test of strength and skill.

The competition game mode is the standard 2 v 2 stock matches.

Knockout City

An outrageous fun and intense dodgeball competition where you must knock out opponents with trick shots and coordinated teamwork while dodging and catching balls flying across the map. Throw, catch, pass, dodge, and tackle your way to dodgeball dominance!

The competition game mode is 3v3 Team KO.
