As communities across London enjoy the social gaming experience that is GamePad, the incredible work of our volunteers ticks over in the background to keep the event running smoothly.

Not only do they ensure a well-run GamePad event, but they also assist with our mini GamePad events throughout the year. So if you see an orange-shirted individual during your next visit to GamePad, give them a high five to thank them!

Then join the GamePad volunteer team!

We’re always on the look-out for new helpers to join our diverse event day team and we love meeting people from all backgrounds! Our goal is to produce a welcoming and community-focused event every time. We’re dedicated to the upholding of our core values of inclusion, acceptance and diversity within the gaming industry.

We will keep you watered and fed during the event day and every volunteer gets two free tickets for friends and family! You’ll also be able to network and gain valuable experience in gaming events.

We’re most in need of help on the day of a GamePad event, and the day before an event where we set up. GamePad events run during January, June and September, however, we’re grateful for any assistance that can be offered, and are happy for people to volunteer around their schedules as it all helps!

Sound good so far? Well you might be asking yourself if you’d be a good fit for volunteering at GamePad. Does any of the following sound like you?

• At least 16 years of age. (if you are under 18 we will need to make work experience arrangements with your school or college)

• Has a positive attitude.

• Passionate about video games and is interested in networking with people of all levels of gaming experience.

• Looking to gain experience in event production.

• Is a people-person, because there are a lot of them that you’ll be engaging with.

• Available for both a GamePad event day and the setup day the day before.
