Things to remember
When preparing your costume, keep in mind that GamePad is a family-friendly event. Regardless of gender identification, no bare chests or buttocks please. We request that costume worn at the event have a PG rating so everyone can enjoy the day.
This means selecting underwear that is modest and gives full coverage of your chest, groin, and bottom. (i.e. no bare boobs or bum cheeks).
The illusion of nudity is still nudity. Flesh coloured garments must be easily identifiable as garments from 10 feet, or they are deemed prohibited.
Cosplay props & uniforms
Costumes replicating military, police or official law enforcement wear must be identifiable as a costume, and not seen as an impersonation as this is illegal.
If you intend to wear a uniform that appears realistic, you must distinguish that it is a costume. Costumes that could be mistaken for current military or law enforcement are prohibited, as are symbols of hate or emblems of genocide.
Please be respectful
We do not allow symbols of hate. Or actions of hate towards others. Hate, in general, is unwelcome at GamePad. We’ve all come together for a positive experience.
